Deloitte Establishes SAP-Focused AI Delivery Centre in Bengaluru

Deloitte has launched a specialized delivery center in Bengaluru, India, to enhance its collaboration with SAP, particularly in the realm of artificial intelligence. The center, which became operational this month, is a strategic move to focus on SAP's AI transformation rather than solely on traditional SAP software implementation.

The new facility brings together over 1,000 professionals skilled in AI, cloud, automation, and data engineering. Deloitte plans to expand this team by adding 300-500 AI specialists over the next one to two years, underscoring its commitment to building deep expertise in SAP's AI future.

This initiative marks a shift for Deloitte, as it aims to work closely with SAP on testing new AI capabilities before their broader deployment and developing the necessary expertise for large-scale implementation. The center will serve both SAP and joint Deloitte-SAP customers across various services, including implementation, architecture, engineering, and managed services.

A key aspect of the center's strategy is its 'customer zero' role, where Deloitte will be among the first partners to test and refine SAP's new AI capabilities. This proactive approach is a significant departure from conventional consulting models, positioning Deloitte at the forefront of operationalizing AI within enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

Sandeep Poojary, Partner at Deloitte and Global Delivery Head for large-scale SAP implementations and generative AI initiatives, highlighted that this dedicated center represents a unique global collaboration with SAP, distinct from their existing client-focused SAP delivery operations.
