Deloitte’s 2026 Report Highlights Massive AI-Driven Restructuring in Corporate Affairs

The traditional landscape of corporate communications is undergoing a radical shift, according to Deloitte’s newly released 2026 Corporate Affairs Report. The comprehensive study reveals that a staggering 83% of corporate affairs teams are currently undergoing significant restructuring. Driven by rapid AI advancements, geopolitical volatility, and declining institutional trust, companies are rapidly shifting their communications functions away from standard public relations and toward hard, commercial performance metrics.
The report highlights that AI integration is no longer optional for these teams. Currently, AI is being deployed heavily for content creation, deep strategic analysis, and automated brand management. With 43% of corporate affairs leaders now identifying their function as a direct "growth driver"—more than double the number from 2024—Deloitte notes that the most sought-after skills in the industry are now AI fluency, agility, and commercial strategy.
